Who We Are

Our Story, Our Why

We’re a youth-led organization that believes real change starts in the communities we work with, with the people, their stories, and our collective dreams for sustainable communities.

Our work is focused on rural, marginalized, and indigenous communities in Kenya, particularly the Maasai and Maa-speaking communities, as well as other pastoralist groups. These are communities we come from, so we understand the realities on the ground and the cultural dynamics that sometimes hold people back.

We understand that issues such as early marriage, educational inequality, a lack of access to clean water, and limited income opportunities are not just problems; they’re part of a larger system that needs to be transformed. That’s why we don’t come in with quick fixes. Instead, we spend time with the people, ask questions, listen, and co-create solutions that actually work for them.

Our team collaborates closely with local groups to address education gaps, enhance access to safe water and sanitation, foster economic growth, and improve climate resilience. Storytelling is a big part of what we do. It helps us challenge harmful norms and struggles that affect communities, many of which are deeply rooted in traditions or social norms, in a respectful manner, and create space for reflection and change without compromising culture or identity. We also focus a lot on building skills and confidence, because we believe communities already have what it takes; they need a bit of support to unlock it.
